HOUSING MORE HOMELESS FAMILIES
The Eastside faces a systemic shortage of housing for homeless families. Our local School Districts reported in 2011 564 children are homeless on the Eastside. The East King County Plan to End Homelessness predicts at least 1564 units of housing are needed to house homeless people by 2016 in East King County, 831 of those for families. We’re laser-focused on meeting immediate needs of homeless families with children from our own community.
Attain Housing invites you to join us in the work to serve more homeless families on the Eastside. These programs increase the number of Eastside homes for homeless families. Key Attain Housing stakeholders and investors have an opportunity to grow Attain Housing’s Transitional Housing for homeless families while receiving a return on investment.
LENDING HOPE MORTGAGE PROGRAM
You loan 80% of the purchase price of a condo to Attain Housing and receive a first deed of trust on the condo to secure its repayment. The loan will bear interest at 3% per annum and be repaired in equal quarterly installments amortized over 15 years. Attain Housing will own the title to the condo and it will be used exclusively to house homeless or at-risk families.
ROI: Countless families will move out of homelessness and find safety and stability. Attain Housing will have the ability to adapt the use of the property to the changing needs of the community. Investor has the satisfaction of housing homeless children and families while earning 3% interest.
NEW LEASE ON LIFE PROGRAM
Choose and buy a condo in Bellevue, Kirkland or Redmond. Lease it to Attain Housing for 10 years. Attain Housing assumes responsibility for the management and operational costs of the unit. Attain Housing will place a client family in the home and pay monthly condo dues, costs of maintenance and repair and condo insurance. At the end of the lease, Attain Housing will return the unit in a clean, newly painted condition and with appliances and floor coverings in comparable condition as they were at the lease commencement.
ROI: Five families gain stability and skills to retain permanent housing. Each homeless family dwelling in the condo during their participation in Attain Housing’s two-year transitional housing program will feel like they received “a new lease on life.”
Investor receives net rents providing a return of 3% on a 10-year lease. Investor/supporter is entitled to take depreciation deductions for tax purposes.
WELCOME HOME RENT SUBSIDY PROGRAM
This program helps a homeless family move rapidly into market rate housing. A rent subsidy with case management services during a one year period stabilizes a family and empowers them to assume full rent at the end of the program period.

Families moving into Attain Housing apartments often have few possessions. To help them get a fresh start, Attain Housing partners with JubileeREACH Thrift Store to help a family set up a new household. Attain Housing has limited storage space, and accepts donations needed to meet immediate needs of families.
We appreciate all our donors, and as Attain Housing cannot accept donations of television sets, clothing or stuffed animals, we suggest you contact JubileeREACH Thrift Store or Goodwill about donating these items.
Please contact Jesse at 425.576.9531 x105 to inquire about making donations of furniture in good condition, or new or gently used household items on our wish list below. Thank you!
